Wildlife Removal FAQS
Frequently Asked Questions About Wildlife Removal and Control
Here at Budget Animal Removal, we get a lot of the same inquiries about wildlife removal and control. For your convenience, we have provided the answers to them, below! If you have additional questions or concerns about protecting your property from nuisance wildlife, please give us a call at 317-875-3099 and speak with a DNR licensed wildlife abatement specialist, anytime.

+What are the Signs of Animal Infestation or Activity?

There are various signs that can indicate an animal infestation or interference around your property. Different animals exhibit different behaviors, making the list of possible signs pretty long. However, the most common indications that animals are inside or nearby include strange stains on walls, ceilings, and door frames, as well as, noises coming from the attic or walls, missing pet food, rummaged trashcans, noises in the chimney, scratches on siding, ripped roof shingles, and animal droppings.

+Will a Wild Animal Attack Me?

Animals are wild and primitive in nature, regardless of species, age, or gender. For this reason, they are unpredictable and should always be respected in that manner. Never attempt to touch, trap, harm, kill, or tamper with a wild animal under any circumstances. Although most wild animals are not likely to attack because they are more afraid of you than you are of them, you do not want to take the risk. Furthermore, provoking an animal may cause them to act defensively, or instigate an attack. A common scenario is a curious dog sniffing an annoyed skunk.

+What Should I Do if There is an Animal in My House?

If you discover a wild animal in your house, the very first thing you should do is remove all people and pets from the area. Then isolate the animal by shutting all other doors and windows in the home so the animal cannot enter other rooms. Leave just one exit point for the animal such as a door or window. Do not use anything to tamper or encourage the animal to move; this may only harm or provoke the animal. Instead, allow the animal ample time to leave on its own. If it does not leave after an hour or so, contact our licensed Indianapolis wildlife control contractors for emergency service. We offer 24 hour emergency wildlife removal services, so you can count on us anytime.

+Do Wild Animals Carry Diseases?

Any wild animal can carry and transmit infectious diseases. Some of the most common transmissible diseases carried by wild animals include Rabies, roundworm, distemper, and more. They can also pass along pests and parasites, like fleas, ticks, lice, and mites. Furthermore, their droppings can spread bacterial infections and fungal spores, which can cause a long list of health implications. These reasons and more are why you should always avoid contact with wild animals, and immediately have your home or property decontaminated after an infestation. Also be sure to vaccinate your pets!
